About Digital Centre
It is centred around incubating, developing and maintaining a repository of Dunhuang digital content. It implements the concept of digitising Chinese cultural heritage through initiatives such as the Dunhuang Digital Restoration Programme, digitisation of artistic works and the establishment of repositories for imagery, data, and artist resources related to Dunhuang. It leverages on technological capabilities as these digital projects aim to document the past, the present and the future of Dunhuang.
About Future Archaeology Project
Through digital technology, we breathe new life into historical classics, tracing the origins based on in-depth historical and archaeological documents, and transforming the works of Dunhuang mural restoration artists from 2D to 3D, as part of a digital development project to restore Dunhuang murals in 3D.
